In a game controlled by Catholic the entire first half and over half of the second half, Catholic lost to Cassville 1-3.  Although Catholic controlled the ball in front of their goal in the first half, the score was 0-0 at the end of the first half.  Only 13 minutes into the second half, on a perfect throw in from Senior Sam Taggart, Justin Bowenschulte received the ball and passed it to Cullen Barr.  Cullen was able to place the ball in the goal pass the Cassville keeper.  Catholic was able to maintain the lead until the last 10 minutes when Cassville tied the game.  With only three minutes left, Cassville took the lead with a header off a throw in.  Finally Cassville scored their third and final goal in stoppage time.

Catholic JV was able to come away with a 1-0 win with a goal from Austin Lewis in the second half.

Varsity’s record is now 4-3 and JV is 2-1.  The next game is Thursday night at College Heights Christian School in Joplin.
