Final Kickapoo Tournament Game Ends With a Tie

After the fifth game in six days, Catholic played Waynesville with exhausted legs. Battling through the first half, they were tied with Waynesville at half 0-0. With 26 minutes left in the game, Cullen Barr made a strong drive down the left side of the field and had hard shot on goal. The Waynesville GK deflected the ball to the right side and Adam Entrup played the rebound into the goal.
Just minutes later, in what had been a physical game with few calls, the official made a rare foul call on Catholic in their box. GK Korbyn Behl was able to make an impressive stop of a Waynesville PK. Unfortunately with only 14 minutes left in the game, once again the officials charged Catholic with another foul. With what started with a direct kick, Waynesville placed the ball in the goal over the GK head just under the crossbar.
Although there were a few opportunities in the last minutes of the game, Catholic was unable to score a go-ahead goal. The game ended with a 1-1 tie.
