Catholic Splits At Marshfield

Catholic Varsity adds another win at Marshfield with a final score of 5-1. Catholic out played and out scored Marshfield ending the first half with a 3-0 lead. Marshfield came out playing much more agressive in the second half, scoring first. A Catholic player was called for a foul in the box 48 minutes into the game, however the Catholic GK Brandon Kratz was able to stop the Marshfield PK and another shot off the rebound. Catholic responded with two more goals in the second half.

First Half:
Goal 1 – David Bailey PK (assist Cullen Barr)
Goal 2 – Justin Bowenschulte (assist Adam Entrup)
Goal 3 – Cullen Barr (assist Jeff Wiegers)
Second Half
Goal 4 – Marshfield goal
Goal 5 – Justin Bowenschulte (unassisted)
Goal 6 – Nick Kofron (unassisted)
JV started out the night with a lost to Marshfield. Unfortunately, a Catholic player was called for a foul in the box and Marshfield was able to score on the PK. Catholic had a goal called back when a Marshfield player was called with a hand ball in the box, however Catholic was not able to score on their PK.
Catholic V record is now 10-6-1 and JV record is now 4-2-1.
Both V and JV will play Hillcrest on Thursday, October 11, at home. Varsity will play first.
