Catholic Falls to Parkview 4-1
Posted by soccermom under: Boys News; Irish Soccer .
After holding Parkview scoreless for the first 18 minutes of the game, and not allowing another goal until 34 minutes in the game, Parkview led at half 2-0.
Catholic attacked first in the second half when Nick Kofron served the ball to Cullen Barr who was able to score. Within the next minute, Parkview was able to add to their lead and then was able to score one more time toward the end of the game. Parkview finish with a 4-1 win over Catholic.
In a game, where Catholic sometimes had 7 freshman on the field against the older and more experienced Parkview team, Catholic continued to play hard and pressure the ball until the last whistle blew.
In the early game that was called short because of lightning, Catholic JV gave up one goal to Parkview in the first half that ended up being the game winning goal. Again, the Catholic players worked hard and continued to pressure until the game was called.
Catholic’s Varsity plays Sedalia Sacred Heart on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Sedalia.
