Lady Irish defeat Joplin 3-0

Catholic scored three goals against a strong wind in the second half to defeat the Lady Eagles. Carsen Baron opened the scoring in the 51st minute with a 20 yard shot from the top of the box. Emily Kessler scored on a nice header over the keeper in the 59th minute and Emily Ortega scored her first HS goal in the 69th minute. Tara Bailes had two assists and Rebecca Mayus had one. The defense of Anne Prenger, Kathleen Garrison, Ronnie Renner, Andrea Parker, and Jessica Bowman held Joplin to one shot as Rachel Scott recorded her third shutout in five matches.
