Lady Irish defeat Willard 5-1

Catholic traveled to Willard tonight and defeated the Lady Tigers by the score of 5-1. A Tara Bailes penalty kick in the 14th minute put the Irish up 1-0 at the half. Four minutes into the second half Catholic benefited from a Willard own goal to go up by two. Natalie Smid scored a nice goal in the 58th minute when she converted a pass from Maddy Renner. Patsy Middleton brought Willard to 3-1 in the 67th minute when she finished a cross from Janine Bird. Anna DeLong and Emily Kessler rounded out the scoring for the Irish with goals in the 68th and 71st minutes, DeLong assisted by Bailes and Kessler assisted by DeLong.
