Catholic Drops Two
Posted by soccermom under: Boys News .
Catholic lost two games on the second day of the Camdenton Soccer Shootout. The first lost was to Hannibal who was able to score first on a free kick right outside the 18 that hit the post then the Catholic GK Levi Millsap and unfortunatley landed in the goal. The second goal by Hannibal was scored when there was a Catholic handball in the box on a corner kick and the PK was converted into a goal. Catholic was able to answer with a goal of their own when Cullen Barr kicked a free kick that Justin Bowenschulte was able to place in the net. In a game where Catholic was unusually flat, although they out-shot the Hannibal team 17-3, they were not able to score again and consequently lost 2-1 to Hannibal.
In the second game of the day against the hosting team – Camdenton, Catholic came back with their energy and teamwork that has become normal for them. However in a very physical, hard fought game, Catholic was unable to score on any of their 9 shots on goal. In a miscommunication, Camdenton was able to score the lone goal of the game at 46 minutes. Unable to convert any of their drives, Catholic recorded their third loss on the year.
