Catholic Wins Battle Over Rolla

In a game that frustrated the coaches, players and fans, the continuation of play was frequently disrupted by the officials with fouls, cards and even getting in the way of the player dribbling the ball, it took Catholic 90 minutes plus two 10 minute overtimes and finally PKs to get the win over Rolla.
At 17 minutes, Catholic was able to score first, when Adam Entrup served the ball to Jusin Bowenschulte who had a perfectly shot ball past the Rolla GK (Goal 1). Rolla was able to get on the board at 22 minutes duirng a scramble in front of the goal from a corner kick. Only 3 minutes later, Rolla was able to score on a foul kick right outside th box, ending the 1st half with Rolla ahead at 2-1.
Catholic continued to play a passing game , at 57 minutes, Luke Straus was able to pass the ball into Justin Bowenschulte who headed the ball in for his second goal of the day (Goal 2 Celebration). Then at 70 minutes, David Bailey had a hard shot ball that was stopped but not fielded by the Rolla GK, Adam Entrup was able to finish with a goal on the deflection (Goal 3). Unfortunately a minute later, the official call a hand ball in the box on a hard kicked ball that hit the upper arm of a Catholic defender that was unintentional. Nevertheless, Rolla was able to score on the PK which tied the game at regulation time 3-3.
Catholic and Rolla battled through 2 – 10 minute overtimes with no decision. Catholic scored on all four PKs they shot but Rolla had one player that shot wide and hit the upright and Catholic Goalkeeper Brandon Kratz stopped their fifth shot winning the game for Catholic.
Rolla Showcase provided Catholic with two good games preparing them for the end of the season.
