Catholic Final Four Bound

Posted by soccermom under: Boys News .

Catholic defeated the Class 1 District 5 Champs -Fatima with a 1-0 score.  In a game where Fatima never posed a threat and where Catholic possessed the ball over 95 percent of the time, Catholic found the rough field conditions, the wind and their own inability to finish their own worse enemies.

With 6 minutes to go in the game, Reid Harbach received the ball on the defensive end, dribbled the entire length of the field, even splitting the defense and when the Fatima goalie came to defend a shot, Harbach was able to hit the far post (Goal).  Catholic was able to play defense the remainder of the game retaining the 1-0 lead.

Although Fatima brought two fan buses to the one Catholic student fan bus, the Catholic students were loud, extremely vocal and overall VERY supportive.  The spirit stick goes to those Catholic students that travelled to support the team! -  Thanks!

The virtual game ball goes to Reid Harbach – good game Reid!

Catholic will travel to Fenton on Friday, November 21 to play at 1pm in the semi-final game against John Burroughs (see bracket).  Depending on the outcome of that game, they will play again either at noon or 10 am on Saturday.
