Enjoy the Catholic team and fans game winning celebration
Although Catholic won the first meeting against Greenwood earlier this season with a 1-0 score, after watching a very energized Greenwood beat NCA on Monday, Catholic knew they had to play hard to have a repeat win.
Catholic got the board at 5 mintutes when Justin Bowenschulte was fouled at the top of the box. On the foul shot, Bowenschulte was able to fired the ball past the Greenwood defenders and goalie scoring what turned out to be the game winning shot (Goal 1)
Giving Catholic that security goal, at 58 minutes, Luke Straus was able to play a ball back in on the Greenwood GK putting Catholic ahead 2-0 (Goal 2). Catholic then began to use the clock wisely by using the entire field. Greenwood’s drives toward the goal were either stopped by Catholic defense or the Catholic GK, providing Catholic another shutout.
