2008 Boy’s Soccer Banquet

The 2008 SCHS Boy’s Soccer Team Banquet was attended by over 100 players, coaches, administrators, family and friends at Millie’s Pavilion on Thursday, December 4. A special thanks goes out to Gina Harbach that elegantly organized the event with personalized place settings for the players, programs and celebration cake for the team’s achievements.
Missouri State University Soccer Coach, Jon Leamy was the special guest speaker. He spoke to the team about prioritizing responsibilities in life, as well as sports, and the meaning and significance of teamwork.
All JV and Varsity players were recognized and were presented with their certificates and letters. Special awards, both team and coach selections, were also presented.

A video presentation commemorating the team’s games and activities was prepared and shown by Jim James.
The banquet was concluded with the players sharing some of their memorable minutes, some which only the other players could appreciate. Then the player’s recognized their coaches with special gifts – some of which were refined – while others also were only those that the coaches and players could appreciate their meanings.
