Emily Kessler scores the Lady Irish’s 1000 goal
Posted by soccermom under: Girls News .
The Girls of Springfield Catholic High School began playing soccer in 1998. When Emily Kessler took a pass from Courtney Devlin and pounded the ball into the back of the net against Fort Osage in the second round game of the Capital City Classic in Jefferson City she scored the 1000th goal in SCHS girls’ soccer history. Following the game a short ceremony was held at the field to honor Emily and the accomplishments of all the girls who have played for the Lady Irish over the years. Emily was presented with a game ball that was later signed by all her teammates and coaches.

Congratulations, Emily! And congratulations to all the girls who have worn the green and white of SCHS. 1000 goals is quite an accomplishment.
