Catholic Offense Explodes

Facing the Marshfield team that is burdened with injuries, Catholic’s offense takes advantage by ending the game with 3:44 left to go with a 10-0 score.
The first goal was scored only 4 minutes 8 seconds in the game with a hard hit by Nick Kofron (U). Three other goals were scored in the first half by Taylor Arens (Luke Straus), Luke Straus (Josh Moncada) and Justin Bowenschulte (Austin Lewis), respectively.
Catholic finished the game early when they scored an additional six goals in the second half. Goals were scored by Adam Entrup (David Bailey), David Bailey (Taylor Arens), Nick Kofron (second goal on the day) (David Bailey), Carson Shaefer (Mitchell Moncada), Evan Craig (Carson Shaefer) and Reid Harbach (Carson Shaefer).
The stat that is noteworthy is that nine different SCHS players scored in the 10-0 victory. GK Levi Millsap and James Straus combined for the shutout.
The next game is Thursday, September 10 against West Plains at Cooper 2. JV will play at 4:30 pm and Varsity will follow at approximately 6:00 pm.
