Goals Galore!

SCHS Boys soccer had another night of scoring opportunites. Three SCHS players, two in the varsity game and one in the junior varsity game, were able to achieve a hat trick tonight. Justin Bowenschulte and Austin Lewis both scored three goals in the Varsity game and Jim Hill scored three goals in the JV game. Congratulations to all three of them for finishing!
West Plains came into Springfield after a recent win against Lebanon. Catholic’s possession and scoring attack continued as five goals were scored in the first half:
Taylor Arens (headed in the first goal), assist Niko Temofeew
Justin Bowenschulte (headed a ball in goal), assist Taylor Arens
David Bailey (headed third goal), assist Niko Temofeew

Austin Lewis, assist Justin Bowenschulte
Catholic was able to finish the game with 2 minutes 40 seconds to go in the game after the following goals were scored:

Austin Lewis, assist Max Holtmann
Austin Lewis, unassisted
Connor Dahlberg, assist Luke Straus
JV also put a win in the record book with a 6-0 over their West Plains JV opponents. While Jim Hill was able to put a hat trick and one assist on his record, Thomas Diebold was able to score 2 goals and an assist. In addition to the six goals they scored, there were other beautiful shots that just missed their marks. The six goals, and the corresponding assists were as follows:
First Half:
