Catholic Defeats Glendale in Overtime

Posted by soccermom under: Irish Soccer .

HIGHLIGHT VIDEO -In a matchup that was most likely possible because of St. John Vianney’s withdraLevi savewal out of the Kickapoo Shootout, Catholic faced Glendale in the semifinal game. In a well-coach Catholic game, Catholic started the game defensely holding off any Glendale attacks.

Catholic was able to deny all Glendale attacks with some GKs saves. Only minutes into overtime, Nick Kofron’s pass found Reid Harbach who was able to get the ball passed the Glendale GK – see the action in the HIGHLIGHT VIDEO.

The Springfield Catholic had a terrific fan base at the game – including many of the football faithful – a big shoutout and thank you to those that showed up to support the boy’s soccer team.  Your support was not unnoticed by the players, the coaches and the soccer parents – Thank You!

Catholic won 1-0 in overtime. Catholic will play Kickapoo in the championship game at 7:00 pm tonight.fan celebration
