Catholic JV Dominates in Ozark JV Game
Posted by soccermom under: Irish Soccer .
In a first time ever meeting between the two soccer programs, Catholic JV travelled to Ozark to play their JV team. Catholic played a possession game where they spent most of the time attacking their goal. In the 9th min, John Mullins served the ball into the center and Burke James was able to head the ball in for the first goal. Catholic added another goal in the 15th minute when Evan Craig scored from an assist from Blake Bremer. Although Ozark made some attacks of their own, even hitting the crossbar, the Catholic GK and defense were able to defend all attacks.
The second half was very physical but Catholic continued to possess the ball attack the goal. It took another 18 minutes when Tim Brooks was able to fire the third and final goal past the Ozark goalkeeper.
Catholic JV won 3-0. Catholic GKs James Straus and Dylan Buehler combined for the shutout.
The next Catholic game is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14, at SCHS against Bolivar. JV will play at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:00 pm.
